The above image was taken from the feeding station hide at Moore Nature Reserve; a great spot to spend some time when the feeders are stocked – something always turns up.
Visually, the Willow Tit is very difficult to distinguish from the Marsh Tit, but the call is very distinctive (below). I often hear it near the feeders at Moore Nature Reserve.
The image below was one of my earliest, taken at the Cors Caron National Nature Reserve near Tregaron, Wales. I entered it in the Countryfile Calendar Competition, where it was a runner-up and featured on the calendar for that year. I remember the guest judges were Lord Lichfield and Jo Brand – an unlikely pair!
