Whooper Swan

These images were taken from the Swan Link hide overlooking the mere at the Martin Mere Wetland Centre.
In the afternoon, they feed the birds on the mere from a wheelbarrow. On this particular day, there were a lot of Whooper Swans close to the hide, and the wheelbarrow must have spooked them, as they all suddenly scarpered (above). It wasn’t long before they were back.
